RejZoR ( @RejZoR@lemmy.ml ) English46•15 days agoI’ve never seen anything quite as pathetic as how Trump behaved, thinking he’s in fucking TV show again. Get fucked orange monkey.
lnxtx (xe/xem/xyr) ( @lnxtx@feddit.nl ) English17•15 days agoThe Apprentice: POTUS Edition, but no one laughs, cause is not a reality show.

LifeInMultipleChoice ( @LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.dbzer0.com ) English20•15 days agoI heard this multiple times from conservative radio/television. The guy is an absolute embarrassment and security risk to the world. Vance has actually proven to somehow be even dumber than the average doornail as well. He heard Zelensky say something of substance and immediately thought to himself, Trump can’t respond to this without fucking it up, let me cut him off and just declare him offensive for accepting our invite to discuss what needs to happen.
notgold ( @notgold@aussie.zone ) English12•15 days agoI haven’t watched nor read anything else about this so I don’t have a full understanding of the meeting. Having said that, I don’t what anyone would expect a world leader to do. He either fights off an invasion without help or sells his nation off. This is a lose lose situation. The USA is losing its image of a country that supports cooperation to an economic invader picking on someone while their down.
thejml ( @thejml@lemm.ee ) English36•15 days agoLost. It’s gone.
And it’s going to take a long time to get any positive view about the US from anywhere, including the citizens. Any country where every four years you can just completely about face any contract, agreement, accord, convention, treaty, whatever, who would want to deal with that country? You could sign something, be perfect partners and then 4 years later get tariffed and humiliated on a whim just because a of a small percentage of votes (or lack of votes).
Maeve ( @Maeve@kbin.earth ) 20•15 days agoAsk our indigenous about USA reneging on treaties.
jonne ( @jonne@infosec.pub ) 11•15 days agoOr even the former slaves, they’re still waiting on their 40 acres and a mule.
Maeve ( @Maeve@kbin.earth ) 3•15 days agoBrother, I heard that too my core!

Dagwood222 ( @Dagwood222@lemm.ee ) 16•15 days agoI thank all the people who actually look at Trump and listen to his speeches.
I can’t handle it. It’s like listening to a baboon playing bagpipes
ᴀᴍʙɪᴠɪᴏʟᴇɴᴛ ( @towelie@lemm.ee ) English9•15 days agoIt took me this long to realize that trump wears that same arrangement of suit colors everywhere because it’s red, white, and blue 🤦♀️ JD Vance has started exclusively wearing it too I think
MDCCCLV ( @MDCCCLV@lemmy.ca ) English2•15 days agoWhite or red suits look bad, but blue is democrat, so they make it not blue by making it a power suit . The red and blue power suit is pretty traditional though .
🇨🇦 holdstrong ( @holdstrong@lemm.ee ) English9•15 days agoDemocracy must be a cat for how many times it has died in the last decade
isosphere ( @isosphere@beehaw.org ) English7•15 days agosomehow this was required to switch me from “buy canadian” to “sell american” and i am ashamed it took so long
Commiunism ( @Commiunism@beehaw.org ) 3•15 days agoHonestly, I don’t even think this kind of sentiment/outcome is necessarily Trump’s fault, but rather the outcome of US overall goal for Ukraine - in another article I’ve seen Joe Biden acting disappointed towards Zelensky for not being “grateful”, but privately.
It seems they REALLY wanted those mineral rights and then a ceasefire so they could extract them and hold heavy political influence over the country, much like how foreign oil companies backed by the US hold heavy influence in democracy/austerity in the global south.
gladflag ( @gladflag@lemmy.ml ) 1•15 days agoProtection by the mafia.
Maeve ( @Maeve@kbin.earth ) 3•15 days agoInside the Oval Office, which has seen much but never anything quite like this, Zelenskyy thanked Trump for the invitation.
