Whole family had a drink to mourn our cat.
Told my son off for taking a sip before clinking the glasses.
Boy gonna learn today.
This is just. May her memory be a blessing 🥃
Wife and I come from cultures where death and funerals are the most depressing things ever.
We’re trying to change that.
Kids have divided her toys between them and will make ornaments from them.
youse guys are awesome 🥲
I will learn from this
that’s very good of you to honor your cat 😘
so many hugs
My parents taught me that pets are family, not animals.
Passing that sentiment along to my kids.
We had a good dinner banter session about the cat. Made inside jokes and had some reflection (not intentional, just flowed).
Everyone is in good grieving spirits.
Had to put our cat down last night. Poor little thing was sick all week, multiple vet visits and she deteriorated rapidly last night. Started as tummy issues but turned into a massive infection and didn’t respond to treatment.
Absolutely devastated.
Please hug your pets extra today.
So sad, sorry to hear. Pets lives are too brief.
For real. We made the best with the time we had.
That’s a tough decision to make, but so good of you to not let the little one suffer any more. Sending you and the fam lots of love and warmth!
Thanks, she was getting so bad even the vets said it’s low chances she’ll make it. Wish I could have hugged her more.
Rough.
So sorry to hear that.
Thanks. The shock of it all took a lot out of us.
So sorry for you and your fam. So devastating to lose one so young.
Thanks. Reality hit this morning when she wasn’t waiting at our bedroom door for her regular hugs and room inspections.
Big hugs. Be gentle with yourselves
Thanks, we are. A lot to process very quickly. Try to grieve in a healing way and focusing on the positive impacts the cat had on us and vice versa.
I’m so sorry, it’s such a hard thing to go through
It was bad. She was pretty young too. We’ll manage but the house is so empty right now.
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear.
Oh gosh. Huge internet hugs.
Its the hardest thing to do. Mine have been hugged for yours ❤️🩹
Thank you. Hug them a few more times ;)
Will do
I’m so sorry. Melbcat will be squished
She deserves it :)
I’m so sorry ❤️
Thanks.
My condolences ❤️
Thanks. Little dog better get some extra treats today.
He will
We/I are getting an admin/project coordinator for the team 🥳 I am so excited at the thought of having someone good at organising to help me! Happy Friday 🍺
Hip hip hooray 🍺

googly eyes have been achieved

lol
And now we’ll have to go for a vote to name them…
Sven and Egglantine
sven is the little guy
Da liddle ones are dangerous
you can tell by his beady eyes
Oh that is just perfect. 10/10. No notes
I might change the eyes on the big one, the eyes with lids look better
cute 😊
🎶I always feel like… somebody’s watching me
“I am indeed a fierce predator, however, I seem to have gotten the handle of this plastic bag around my neck. It would be in your best interest to remove it post haste!”
"I’m a big brave dog but balloons are scary and I hide behind my mummy when I see one’.
🎈👩🐶
Our old dog (absolute runt that weighed 5kg soaking wet) would stand his ground against any other dog, but would yelp and cry at plastic bags in the park.
Stressful two weeks at work doing new complicated stuff. Also has been late shifts which always take it outta me. Almost there, TGIF
Goodnight all ❤️
Got a decent sleep!!!
Mild headache from sleeping like a clown but eh I’ll take what I can get.
No gym today. It’s the last weekday of freedom before I lock into study and the full job hunt next week. Yeeha.
Edit: slept even more after breakfast. Might keep it up for a few more hours.
We are gonna be in Reservoir tomorrow (for YL’s nails). Where should we visit? Food & leisure. Where can we find the best chilli? Brunch, lunch? Bakery?
Hit up Aboulaban in Edwardes St for amazing baklava.
Thank you. ❤️
Edwardes lake park is nice, and there’s even a steam train to climb on
E: actually, I don’t think you can climb anymore…maybe that’s a more recent thing because you could when my kid was little
2E: remembers kid is now old enough to get his license eeeeeee
Good idea! Bird watch around the lake then pick up YL. 👍 She’s driving.

Just bought Clair Obscure, waiting for download. 😀
Enjoy the journey.
Eeeeek I hope you enjoy it!
What should I make with this pile of diced goat? Not jerk/Jamaican curry. Has bones so not pie suitable.
You could stew it to get the bones out then make pie.
Second this.
I could, but expect to be coated in paint much of the day.
Baphomet.
Slow cooked indian curry like this
Goat slaps when cooked and seasoned right.
That looks promising. Am def a cardamom fan.
‘Sweetish’ spices work really well with goat. Birria tacos use goat and cinnamon. You’re going to feast like a medieval royal.
Ha! Medieval cookery is actually a thing of mine. Some [ingredient], enough, until it be done. Fuck your scales & thermometers!
Oh yeah, throw things into a pressure/slow cooker (or cauldron if at hand), let the ingredients dance and get to know each other and serve with crusty bread of some sort.
Quaff some ale or mead after for full effect.
May I interest you in a download of ever cookbook in English pre 1650? Somewhat 🏴☠️
Go on…
They accidentally sent me an extra month salary. I’d love to keep it but the poor payroll officer would be fired in an instant.
Definitely a severance payment, wouldn’t second guess it tbh
Surely you could at least assume that for a couple weeks and if they don’t contact you…
5/10. Can I go back to bed, please?
2/10
I really haven’t been paying attention at all, have I?
4/10
8 as well!
