First up, Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Three” has seemingly wrapped filming with a photo of signage from what appears to be the wrap party going online (via Timothee Nation). Filming on the third film officially began back on July 8th, and the wrap comes just […]

The two things I’m looking forward to (if they bother showing them) are how they depict the Guild Navigators and Tleilaxu. The latter was kinda teased in the Dune: Prophecy series but that was a lower budget production, so I wonder if they will do it differently.

Also want to see the navigators and the tleilaxu. Dune prophecy was a big let down for me. Also very curious to see the Stone Burner on the big screen.

I think the only parts I’d really categorize as a disaster kinda need a third movie to explain. I really don’t like how Denis changed Paul and Chani’s relationship, but maybe it’ll get paid off in a satisfying way in part three.

Or it’ll just continue being extremely out of character teen angst for contrived plot reasons, idk

Yeah, book Chani was much more of her own person, with confidence and purpose.

“Because it’s profitable”, is my guess. I thought it was a good adaptation, what did you find so disastrous?

Part 2 was not a disaster. Personally, I think both parts were really good. No idea where you’re getting such a negative opinion of part 2.

the most anticlimactic ending, with “goodbye grandfather” was a mess. the entire second movie felt like they totally totally ran out of mojo and everyone’s just watching the time when they can throw everything and go home. the old syfy 3 part webseries was way better representation of the story… but, we all.know, hollywood and quality in the same sentence feels forced for many years now
