God I’m so tired. Yes. Me. A disabled queer who lives 3000 miles away from this turd, is the problem. I am 100% complicit because I’m not, what, physically going there and pulling him out by his ear? Okay then.

America is a dictatorship of Capital, not a democracy. These actions are 100% in line with the interests of capital.

Fortunately for me, an American citizen, I fully understand that my democratically “elected” leaders absolutely have fuck-all to do with what I personally want, or even what the vast majority of people actually want. Of course this means my life is way worse then it could be, but morally I’m in the clear.

People went to storm area 51 for the bit but when the president is one step away from genocide, nope nothing.

There really needs to be a national march on the capital for anyone willing and able. Not just some passive no kings too, there needs to be some serious pressure and disruption. Literally anyone who can take a couple days off work and travel to DC. No kings was a good first step, but it absolutely needs to be ramped up, and fast.

It would be a good start, but what’s really needed is mass unionization and mutual aid that could be used to organize stuff like general strikes. Work stoppage is the only thing these ghouls understand cause it hits them in the wallet.

I’m actively trying not to commit suicide most days.

Democracy. If we had democracy Sanders would have won in 2016.

Here’s a chart of how likely a policy is to become enacted (Y axis), based on public support of the policy (X axis):

The purple line is the bottom 90% of the population by income.

So basically, public opinion does not impact policy in any statistically significant way.

I gathered as much, it just seems weird that its pinned at what appears at a glance like 35%? Is that just what percentage of policies in general get enacted?

Edit: watched the video, its 30% and yes

Yeah, inertia is baked into the legislative process here. It’s silly.
