Carlson also spent last week ranting about how the “civic religion” of elites is Israelism (whatever the hell that means). And he backed up that conclusion with the old “If you want to know who rules over you, just look for who you are not allowed to criticize”, which is a quote from a Neo Nazi.

He’s a bad actor who launders white nationalist talking points. He goes where he thinks his audience wants him to go. Don’t give him credit for finally changing his rhetoric against Trump. It won’t last.

The split seems to have started with the Epstein files and It’s starting to grow. I’m curious to see how overt it will become. Will it simply result in lower republican voter turnout? Or will a high number of former allies in government start to turn on him?

          • People (&the media) have been saying his days are numbered for literal years and the ‘split’ ‘gap’ ‘break’ ‘riff’ in his base is just another talking point for clicks in most news articles.

All I’m saying is, I’ll believe it when I see it.

            • If there’s one thing his base cares about it’s gas prices, and they’re going to be going through the roof once the actual shortages start to hit. So far it’s just been market speculation driving them because tankers take a while to arrive. The shipments that were supposed to leave when the strait was closed would’ve been arriving in the next week or so, and when that doesn’t happen that’s when the real fun starts. I just don’t see how he’s going to climb out of the hole he dug for himself here.

        • We might seem something like how his pedo pick Roy Moore lost to a Democrat in Alabama because Republican turnout was so low. Idk about an overt MAGA civil war. Most people I know who voted MAGA are just really quiet now and “don’t want to talk about politics.”

    • “Israelism” = Zionism.

I never even thought I’d say this, but if he really said “Israelism”, he may be one of the few right-wing people who aren’t committing the gravest form of antisemitism: conflating all Jews and the Jewish faith as a whole with the sins of Israel the state, its leaders and its supporters.

    • “If you want to know who rules over you, just look for who you are not allowed to criticize”

What is wrong with this statement? Geniune question.

In China you are not allowed to criticize the central government.

In north korea, you are not allowed to criticize the Kim Jong Un government.

In South Korea you were not allowed to criticize KMT during the 40 year dictatorship backed by the US.

In the US and Germany, you lose your job or funding or get kicked out of uni or lose your Visa or get jailed if you criticize Netanyahu or Israel.

Someone please explain what is wrong with this statement, it’s a genuine question.

This is what controlled opposition does.

They (Carlson, Owens, Jones, et al), will all distance themselves from trump because they know he hasn’t got long left so will play the “We got it wrong. This one’s on us but stick with us” because they were grooming the maga crowd for his replacement and prepping the “blame it all on the last guy” routine.

The Midterm Bloodbath is going to be the Dem’s D-Day, and after that the fall of MAGA will become inevitable to anyone with half a brain.

Carlson, and a few others, realize that, and are trying to get in front of it, presenting themselves as the smart ones who realized that MAGA had become dangerous, and broke away. They are hoping that in the post-MAGA era, they will be seen as the reasonable ones who helped guide Conservatives away from MAGA, and into whatever lie they’ll tell to replace it.

Tucker is just getting into position for the next 20 years of his career, doing essentially the same thing, spewing propaganda. He’s pretending that he doesn’t know that he’s likely to end up in prison for a decade or so.

Great! I encourage him, and ALL MAGAs to run. It can only help to have them all screaming worn-out nonsensical propaganda, attacking each other, accusing each other of crimes, etc.

By the time they begrudgingly agree on a candidate that 3/4 of them will hate, they will have done most of the job for the Dems.

This is different. Once Trump loses his political viability, the MAGA Cult of Personality ends, and the back-stabbing begins. Having a stage full of MAGA psychopaths trying to tear each other up, blaming each other for the obvious MAGA failures, is exactly what America, and the Democrats, need.

Who would that be? Kevin Soros? Dean Cain? Kid Rock? Don Jr? There’s no new celebrity waiting in the wings. Trump had been groomed for this since 1987. He was their only shot. With Orban out of the picture, and Trump out of the picture, the last 50 years of the Russian backed conservative movement will collapse and die. With Russia on the brink of collapse themselves (they are barely alive only because Trump removed oil sanctions against them, otherwise they’d be dead broke), it will take another few decades to rebuild, and the West will be watching closer this time.

MAGA didn’t exist before Trump, and it won’t exist after Trump. It simply doesn’t exist without Trump.

What will happen is candidates will tear each other apart and the winner will get all. Republicans unify behind whoever wins and will vote in lockstep. Cheering on the worst candidates thinking this won’t happen is foolish.

MAGA is already coming apart. They are a Cult of Personality, and will not survive without Trump as their leader. There will be conflicting messages and priorities, and they’ll be attacking each other viciously and relentlessly. The Conservative Propaganda Machine will fracture, and start supporting different candidates, and different new conservative political models, MAGA will be desperately fighting to maintain power, etc. It will take them at least a couple of election cycles to get their shit together and become viable again, time when they can’t really fight the Dems effectively.

It will be a golden opportunity for the Dems, if they can keep their shit together, and maybe they will. Leadership has changed at the DNC, and they seem a bit more competent and winner focused than they have been for the last few decades. They’ve managed the amazing record of Democratic wins over the last year, and they are still going strong. The DHS shutdown continues, the gerrymandering battle is going well, and the Midterms look like it’s going to be a vicious bloodbath for MAGA.

It has always been clear that the Dems didn’t really have to do anything but get out of MAGA’s way, and they’d destroy themselves with their virtuosic incompetence. However, the Dems are actually doing a decent job of accelerating the MAGA downfall, so let’s encourage that.

Stop telling the Dems that we expect them to do nothing when they take back power. We don’t expect nothing, we expect ACTION, and bold, strong, unforgiving action at that. MAGA is a proven National Security Threat, and needs to be harshly crushed and purged from our government, and our society. It has no place in our world any more than the KKK or the Nazis. We don’t allow them to contribute to a moral society, and MAGA will join them. Dems need to understand that we won’t tolerate politeness towards Traitors/ Racists/ Pedophiles, and we want to see them punished harshly, no matter how far up the food chain they are. NOBODY gets a pass.

Stop saying that Trump and MAGA will get away with it, and make it crystal clear that we will not tolerate that. Any Dem who attempts to promote a policy of appeasement/ forgiveness/ “looking forward”/ etc. needs to lose their political career. If you aren’t in Congress to fight, then get out, and make room for someone who is willing to fight.

Obama promoted a policy of forgiveness/moving forward after bush killed a million people and he’s still a major feature in the party. I want more out of the dems but if your expectations are them taking real action to punish republicans for their crimes idk what to tell you
