I miss Fuddruckers and doubt anything will ever fill that hole in my heart.
greenteadrinker ( @greenteadrinker@midwest.social ) 7•2 years agoIt would probably be Cane’s, because I eat there a fair amount and it’s like B-tier fried chicken for an okay price. If we wanna go international, then it’s Kyochon. It’s a Korean Fried Chicken chain with 1 location in America and a bunch in Korea
Second would either be McDonalds or Dairy Queen for their McFlurry/blizzard or their super artificial ice cream. Honestly, I know there is better ice cream, but I have an Anton Ego flashback (from Ratatouille) whenever I take a bite/lick of ice cream and am reminded of the trips I took with my mom when we walked over to Dairy Queen together

Xariphon ( @Xariphon@kbin.social ) 3•2 years agoBoston Market still exists.
Back in the day I used to love Kenny Rogers Roasters. Their chicken was beyond next level. But that chain lasted for like five minutes.

Birdcatname ( @Birdcatname@beehaw.org ) 2•2 years agoDunkin. I don’t really like many chain restaurants. I prefer local places. But Dunkin is pretty consistent with their coffee.
Jordan Lund ( @jordanlund@lemmy.one ) 2•2 years agoEzell’s Chicken, but only in Seattle and Beaverton, OR.
scaramantulatte ( @scaramantulatte@lemm.ee ) 1•2 years agoThere’s one in Tacoma as well, it’s pretty good!
rm_dash_r_star ( @rm_dash_r_star@lemm.ee ) 2•2 years agoThey made a funny joke about them in the movie Idiocracy, they thought they’d be around forever; Evolution of Fuddruckers
teawrecks ( @teawrecks@sopuli.xyz ) 2•2 years agoThey’re still around aren’t they? What am I missing?
Lazerbeams2 ( @Lazerbeams2@lemmy.ml ) 2•2 years agoTbh, the only chain I eat at is a local chain that would tell anyone that recognizes the name more or less where I live. They make really good burgers
Gatsby ( @Gatsby@lemm.ee ) 3•2 years agoJones’ barbeque and foot massage?
TheButtonJustSpins ( @TheButtonJustSpins@infosec.pub ) 1•2 years agoElevation Burger? I miss that place so much.
🇰 🌀 🇱 🇦 🇳 🇦 🇰 🇮 🏆 ( @Kolanaki@yiffit.net ) 2•2 years agoI miss Quiznos.
I don’t know if they are completely out of business, but they sure as shit don’t operate anywhere within 100 miles of where I live anymore.
Their ribeye steakhouse sub was the best fucking thing ever.
Literally the only chain I would recommend. Everything else I love is mom&pop local dives and taco trucks.
Rev. Layle ( @revlayle@lemm.ee ) 1•2 years agoIIRC, Company Man on YouTube had a video on the rise and fall of Quiznos
angstylittlecatboy ( @angstylittlecatboy@reddthat.com ) 2•2 years agoPapa John’s. Far and away the best chain pizza, and the biggest topping selection of any pizza restaurant I’ve seen. I’d still say local pizza is usually better though, but Papa John’s is good enough that if I don’t want to fret over where I’m getting pizza from it’s my pick.
TheButtonJustSpins ( @TheButtonJustSpins@infosec.pub ) 1•2 years agoElevation Burger - moved away and haven’t had it in years. Great burgers, the best fries.
abc ( @aio2@beehaw.org ) 1•2 years agofuck me, McDonald’s
weksa ( @weksa@lemm.ee ) 1•2 years agoRuth’s Chris. Best ribeye I’ve ever had at a chain restaurant. Also the most expensive. It’s the only restaurant ribeye that has never disappointed me.
Dizzy Devil Ducky ( @AceFuzzLord@lemm.ee ) 1•2 years agoIf we’re talking cheaper food but still pretty good quality, I’m going with Perkins.
My brother has told stories of other people he knows and have worked with (around his age) kinda equating and thinking of Perkins as more of an elderly people restaurant, which I could see.
Im14abeer ( @Im14abeer@midwest.social ) 1•2 years agoRed, Hot and Blue. Looks like there’s only 5 left now, so I guess I’m in the minority.
