Let’s be honest, its a stupid fucking idea.
Sunday has always been a day of minimal staffing levels. Dragging in hundreds of cops in on their days off at this short notice is going to cost a fortune.
And it’ll be a waste. How many pubs are actually going to stay open? How many staff will be willing to work until 5am pulling pints for a bunch of pissheads for £12.70 an hour?
As a punter it’s going to be a weird atmosphere too.
And potentially dangerous if England lose and men who’ve drunk all day have no one else other than each other and early morning commuters to punch.
Better not lose then.
I’m looking forward on my 6am commute to having to deal with pissed up staggering fans wandering home and probably drink drivers to avoid too.
