While I fully support imprisoning corrupt politicians and we should do that more often, I wouldn’t say that China does that. They get rid of politicians who aren’t falling in line and corruption is just the vehicle to do it. Because everyone is. By design, I believe, not only does that allow the politicians to live in luxury compared to the poor folks working 12 hours a day, six days a week, but in case some politician is getting uncomfortable they can dig up corruption charges.
