Corps who would rather have AI looking images instead of using stock photos love the AI stuff.

Anecdote: one thing my current partner of multiple years liked on my dating app profile was that I hid the face of my friends on my pictures with big bell peppers. She didn’t know it came from Gimp of course, but I showed her later and we’ve been together since.
Open source can have just as many dumb things in it. The difference is you can fork it and remove those things.
