For me, I think it might have been over ten years. Not sure tho, might have climbed one in the meantime. But either way, it was too long.

I don’t remember ever climbing a tree. I lacked the skill when I was young, and now I lack the strength (and time).
Successfully? I was 13. Attempted? I was 45, got as far as hanging from the lowest branch
Canadians do this one trick when they see a bear.
I climb rocks and let the trees be, I spare both of us the damage of breaking a branch.
