I used to want to live in interesting times as a child. I was incredibly naive.

How not? I’m under 40. I was born before 2000. I remember Y2k, the rest takes place after that.

Ah, I understand. You were asking the other way.

The meme says millennials which was defined by Pew as 1981 to 1996 2026 - 1981 is 45

It depends on which demographer you ask, but the boundary between genx and millennial can be as early as 1980. In which case the eldest millennials are already over 45 and haven’t quite seen an AI apocalypse yet.

Unsure what the generation was but I suppose the poor bastards who served in WWI and then came home to be hit with the Great Depression shortly after felt similarly. And they didn’t even have memes! (Or, for the most part, warm showers.)

Welcome to General Memes

Memes for the masses, chuckles for the chosen.

Rule 1: Be Civil, Not Cruel

We’re here for laughs, not fights.

  • No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
  • No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
  • Keep it light — argue in the comments, not with insults
Rule 2: No Forbidden Formats

Not every image deserves immortality on the memmlefield. That means:

  • No spam or scams
  • No porn or sexually explicit content
  • No illegal content (seriously, don’t ruin the fun)
  • NSFW memes must be properly tagged

If you see a post that breaks the rules, report it so the mods can take care of it.

Otherwise consider this your call to duty. Get posting or laughing. Up to you
