I’ve wondered about something like r/moderatepolitics …

Often times I’ll post a fairly moderate/mainstream response to a post, get a wild amount of upvotes but then most of the comments are angrily opposed. So I do wonder if there’s a vast pool of “normies” who may not engage simply because they are tired of being yelled at. (I have to admit, it gets disheartening. But, as I wish more people were bringing moderate/normal/reality to the Right, I feel obliged to do so here.)

Not sure how you could or if you’d even want to stop the random angry .ml folks from popping in and yelling but…

And the middle. And any other reasonably comparable subset of men and women.

The part of the OP you skipped is “inherently weaker”.

Because it’s a wild assertion made without evidence. OP feels this is part of a vast concerted planned conspiracy…

(Personally I think if there is a conspiracy, it’s to create fights like this on the Left. It sounds like the Left is saying that men aren’t generally bigger and stronger than women, which, for anyone who has ever seen multiple people, must seem a pretty wild claim.)

The holocaust is a crazy bad example for this argument.

As far as I understand, there weren’t significant riots or uprisings within Germany that led to the Nazi’s downfall.

…Ironically considering the voting claim, the Holocaust was stopped because of the choices of voters in faraway places. (okay, that and invading Russia rarely ends well for anyone, including the Russians.)

Come on… Are we really going to argue that on average, men are not stronger and taller than women? That doesn’t make women inferior to men. Men will, on average, go bald more often and earlier than women. That doesn’t make men inferior to women.

Great movie but when you think about how a world like that might survive, it gets really fun.

Unsure what the generation was but I suppose the poor bastards who served in WWI and then came home to be hit with the Great Depression shortly after felt similarly. And they didn’t even have memes! (Or, for the most part, warm showers.)

Don’t really have much TV time in the summer but I’ve almost been keeping up with Lanterns, President Curtis and Strange New Worlds.

President Curtis has been a completely unexpected blast. I think part of the charm is that it is a really fun take on the Presidency that comments on trump without ever even alluding to him. Throw in some decent dialogue and fun ideas and I’m sold. (Admittedly, I am a historical politics junkie so a lot of the references feel aimed directly at me.)

Lanterns was a surprise. Buddy whom I trust recommended it, despite both of us being burned out on super heroes, and goddamn, he was right.

And Strange New Worlds… Man, they’re just having an absolute blast and I’m here for it. Long live silly Trek!

I’m just a bit ahead of you (maybe 2/3rds through season 2) and I have to say, in my ignorant opinion, things really improve as the second season goes on. (Admittedly, I mostly stopped as it’s hard to find time in the summer but that’s my memory.)

Next Generation is the closest my family got to a family TV show that wasn’t the news but somehow, this moment is usually my first LeVar Burton thought.

??? Flock seems shitty (I’m Canadian) but it seems like a lightpole or so. A train and the network requires a million times the property appropriation. And to be effective, a chunk of that should be the most sense/expensive land around!

Personally, I kind of love the idea of Eugene Levy. He’d just be so delightfully out of place but also absolutely perfect for a Mordecai… Or, on the other end of the spectrum, Tommy Chong.
