The title makes it seem like this is an odd community to post this to, but I promise it’s topical, even if it’s a little more light-hearted than our typical fare

In the end I did vote, sadly and reluctantly. I held my nose with my hand that still smells like artificial pancake syrup, and voted for Deep Fried, the least of the evils. I did it because I’m an American, and I believe in free and fair elections, and the worst thing you can do is stay home.

The filling’s syrup smell is so persistent that after a full Silkwood shower and three handwashes with Method brand lavender soap (their most fragrant varietal), I can still smell Chicken and Waffles Oreos on my hands when I adjust my glasses or tuck my hair behind my ears. It’s a modern-day Edgar Allan Poe story, and I cannot escape the beating of the hideous heart. But with syrup>

Now anecdotally I have experienced deep fried oreos out of morbid curiosity… Unexpectedly this was at a German restaurant that makes Pizza in South Carolina back in the day…they used to do Oktoberfest and we went there for that and it was there I went for the absolute sin.

It was unexpectedly good, the fryer was clean so there wasn’t a funky oil flavor, and the creamy filling was warm and delicious… Like I said I was extremely surprised and have not dabbled in the devils desserts since because I doubt it can be recreated as well…so the fried Oreo flavor served cold sounds horrible.
