An agency wanted us to pay above award for a casual (absolutely no problem with that) with an extra $15+ an hour on for the agency and if we chose to keep them we have to pay them a finder’s fee. I get you’ve gotta run the agency, but that’s a steep bill for a small business!
Yeah I have a 6 month probation before the workplace will considering hiring me themselves. So I just gotta prove myself :) we’ll see if they don’t burn me though lol
Totally get your point about kids and meds; I’m in a position of privilege as I don’t have to worry about that today. It would be shitty af if I did have to consider that though for sure.
It’s a good rate, over $30 per hour so I’m not complaining :)

you might be getting only 50-75% of your pay
eventually see if you can be directly paid by your work place, your pay might increase
and I am unamused, the delay is unacceptable, imagine if an employee had children to feed or life saving meds like insulin to buy that day
