In July, there was a sudden spike in .SI (Slovenia) domain name sales, and now that Trump has announced AI will be rebranded SI, their owners are attempting to resell them for millions of dollars.
This is why I needs a character with the tops and bottom lines, I thought it was Sl not SI…okay yes different if I recalled upper case but brain doesn’t always differentiate properly at first glance between upper and lower case (unsure if noticable second one was lower case L, but confusing helps make my point).

There’s some cleverness behind it. The government is legally mandated to only refer to AI as SI, so that will theoretically boost the value of the squatted domains among the people obsessed with the stuff.

I’m personally all for rebranding “AI”, because current “AI” is not intelligent. Before current “AI”, the term AI meant that a computer would basically have human skills combined with computer skills, and current “AI” certainly falls short in many human skills.
