“Post-“ originally is a temporal signifier. It means “after.” Post-left anarchism, whatever it means, refers to an anarchism which has, by and large, come after, and largely out of, anarcho-leftism.[6] In my case, I was receptive to exactly the influences which Jason McQuinn mentions. When I use the phrase (I don’t use it a lot), I think of anarchists writing in the last 40 or 50 years who have taken up, or taken on, matters which the traditional anarcho-leftists never considered; or if they occasionally did consider them, their reactions – variously stereotyped, superficial, mocking, and dismissive — called for critique.

Everytime I see the logo and think it’s the NMS logo without reading the community name and I’m so confused XD
Post-left anarchy is a recent current in anarchist thought that promotes a critique of anarchism’s relationship to traditional leftism.
ty, that explains it
can you elaborate your question?
I wanted to know what distinguishes post-left anarchy from classical anarchism.
even “classical” anarchism had different branches (schools?). We shouldn’t treat it as one monolithic movement.
Today anarchist movements are scapegoated as “ultra-left”, to pull frightened masses towards extreme-right (banalised as right) but anarchists, refusing to participate in the government, had no place in the left-right seating of politics.
What do you mean by “post-left anarchy”?
edit: i was reading "Les Nouveaux Anarchistes » by Francis Dupuis-Déri. At the end of the book he mentioned Bob Black. I started reading one of his from https://theanarchistlibrary.org/ and now i know what you mean by “post-left anarchism”.
Not everybody is aware of who Bob Black is and the terms he invented.i had a copy of “The Abolition of Work”, printed as a pamphlet, handed out at a squat. It was light and fun. “Post-left” doesn’t mean much when you’re not into Bob’s writings: “What is post-left anarchism? I’m not sure who coined the phrase, but it looks like I did.”
