I’d vote for banning them altogether along with online apps.

Lotteries were illegal until 1969 when they became provincially regulated.

I know of two self made millionaires who’ve won multiple times at the cost of probably tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I also used to personally know one trust fund baby from generation wealth, and he calls it the poor mans tax.

Wish I could claw back the $10/week my mother has spent my entire life.

I know modern day capitalism does not work without ads, it is impossible for the 1% to get richer if their worker bees are payed what they are worth and when said worker bee is not having their labour value abused they need to be stolen from via ads. If said ad gets this person hooked on gambling than that makes the 1% even richer helping people avoid gambling is a good step.

What about “Tide” and “Molson” and all of the other invasive ads out there? Let’s do those as well.

How about we deal with the worst and most recently created evil first?

Generally speaking, I’m a root cause guy, but I guess we have to start somewhere.

It’s usually easier to get rid of something that hasn’t yet become fully embedded in culture over multiple decades (or generations).
