Not that Jeffries is any better, but Dem voters have rejected this ossified system, and, well, Ossoff is doing just fine on his own.

I’m 47. If you are a politician born after I was, I have never been your target demographic. Don’t rely on me to give a flying fuck about you, and don’t rely on people elected to fix your fucking broken system that gave us Trump.

We’re fucking done with your corporate bullshit. You’re already rich enough. Step aside. Like Elon, you won’t even notice the difference in your bank account.

I feel like this is an excellent time for a dude like you, Powderhorn, to write a letter to the editor of the Star Telegram or a similar paper in Texas and make this exact point.

Schumer and Jeffries are controlled opposition, the secret meeting with Kushner and the secret society with Theil all but prove it for Jeffries and Schumer is only there to further the interests of Israel. Together their main task is to kneecap any actual left from the inside and to further the interests of Israel. All of establishment is as corrupt as the right, they’re just more covert about it because they know that once you show your hand, you can’t go back to pretending. They do performative bullshit that never seems to really accomplish anything, it’s just there to try and mind fuck the country into thinking they’re being served and their tax dollars are going to things they need. If we are not able to wrestle power away from establishment now, it’ll be as if the right won anyway. They’ll “stand up to Trump” in useless, performative ways while furthering his agenda, his cabinet picks and judges just like last time. The people will never trust either party again and we’ll be exactly like Russia.

He absolutely is not. We need someone who will use the same tactics the republicans use. I don’t have the answer, but we can certainly count Schumer and Jeffries out.

Trump is going to veto everything anyway, so…

Still gotta go through it. Aggressive measures focused on the Epstein Files require a backbone that those two do not possess. Curtailing the authorization of use of military force will take guts that they do not have.

The only defense I have of Schumer that I don’t have of Jeffries is that Schumer seems to read the room better and will bend to the majority of his caucus when needed. He can’t be as progressive as people want, in part, because the Senate is where compromises happen. His job has been to decide when to break gridlock and get a bill passed.

  • …well you see, he’s good at bringing in corporate money and not upsetting those donor’s goals. And we all know in a society defined by capitalism, it’s the money that matters. And that’s all that matters. Look at the election. People weren’t upset at the blatant bigotry, the Constitutional violations, the unprecedented corruption, and so on. No, they were mad that they were paying more at the pump.
