Related video about massive marketing campaign the dairy industry in the US pushed
They also funded a lot of low quality and questionable science to promote drinking a lot of milk.

I don’t care if the plant based ones are called milk or not. I care what’s in it and how it’s made. Which isn’t as good for me or the environment as they say. Like I used to really like this one brand of oat milk until I realized that the fat in it comes from polyunsaturated seed oils which are their own big problem. The fat content and calcium and vitamins they are fortified with are pretty similar between dairy milk and plant based ones but that’s not what you should be looking at.
At the end of the day we should probably be drinking neither… or your choice of which but heavily moderated.
What about soy milk? Are there any issues with how it’s made? I confess to being a big fan of Vanilla Silk. Also, please tell me more about polyunsaturated seed oils any why they’re bad.

Oh, I actually just don’t like the taste of that enough to look into it lol. I’d prefer to just not have milk like things than drink it. If it’s healthy and you like it though then that is a great option!
EDIT: Ok, dumb noob question here: is there a way I can share this discussion with a friend on Mastodon?
