Pherenike ( @Pherenike@lemmy.ml ) 11•2 years agoSomething like /aww on reddit, I love animals.
Rentlar ( @Rentlar@lemmy.ca ) 9•2 years agoYeah Reddit was chock-full of cat subreddits, having those kinds of communities would greatly increase the appeal of Lemmy beyond tech, FOSS, politics and gaming.
distractionfactory ( @distractionfactory@beehaw.org ) 10•2 years agoScience Fiction, amateur radio, electronics… and maybe some equivalent of the popular (popcorn) subreddits; damnthatsinteresting, wtf, showerthoughts, TIL.
Ultimately I don’t know yet. I’m hoping to see some new stuff that I didn’t think to look for. Any topic can be interesting if people are passionate and not toxic.
Agree with you on TIL and damnthatsinteresting i guess we’l see how things go forward from here
PeterPoopshit ( @PeterPoopshit@lemmy.ml ) 3•2 years agoThis. I participate in homebrewcomputers on reddit, would be nice to see something like that here, although the website is small enough that posting diy computer stuff in “Open Source” would probably be acceptable.
distractionfactory ( @distractionfactory@beehaw.org ) 1•2 years agoThanks! Both of those give me “couldnt_find_community” 404 messages, but I’ve has some issues loading lemmy.ml, it might be my client.
Tatar_Nobility ( @Tatar_Nobility@lemmy.ml ) 3•2 years agoWeird, these communities aren’t appearing when searching for them on beehaw. Yet they do in fact exist.
XpeeN ( @XpeeN@sopuli.xyz ) 7•2 years agofuckcars \ notjustbikes

weastie ( @weastie@beehaw.org ) 5•2 years agoReptiles and ebikes
EponymousBosh ( @EponymousBosh@lemmy.ml ) 2•2 years agoSeconding ebikes! (Reptiles are chill but a reptile community would not be helpful for me personally)
Mert ( @Mert@lemmy.ml ) 4•2 years agoArtistic ones, like music production, digital art, etc. maybe?
Mike ( @MDKAOD@lemmy.ml ) 1•2 years agoOnce I wrap my head around how instances work, I’d love to get an instance up and running (or join an existing one)
harbo ( @harbo@lemmy.ml ) 3•2 years agoI’d like to see an Apple community
SmokeInFog ( @SmokeInFog@midwest.social ) 3•2 years agoI decided to be the change I wish to see in the world and created the !kittyterminal community, thinking I might make one for announcing new communities too
thepounder1 ( @thepounder1@lemmy.ml ) 3•2 years agoA leathercraft community would be the bees knees. Good place to share tips/tricks, ongoing projects, answer questions or seek advice, that sort of thing.
Nina ( @misnina@lemmy.ml ) 2•2 years agoI moreso want two communites to be active again. !gamedev@lemmy.ml and !pixelart@lemmy.ml
MetalAirship ( @MetalAirship@lemmy.world ) 2•2 years agoI was looking for an RC car community like r/rccars on reddit, but I couldn’t find one so I created it myself. !rc_cars@lemmy.world
YuzuDrink ( @YuzuDrink@beehaw.org ) 2•2 years agoI really have enjoyed game-specific communities on Reddit in the past – Dragon Quest and Pokemon in particular; also the /tipofmytongue and /tipofmyjoystick were quite helpful. And /speedruns was super nice!
Also gardening and hot pepper growing; and since I live in Japan a place to discuss current events and life over here is also quite useful.
greasemonkey ( @greasemonkey@lemmy.ca ) 2•2 years agoSomething like ask mechanics and just rolled into the shop
