Been a while since I played any AC game. But a “return to roots” will at least make it so I don’t entirely ignore it

Cautiously optimistic, it all comes down to how well designed the missions are. People are nostalgic for the old Assassin’s Creed games but a lot of the missions were just “follow this guy” or really shallow stealth missions. Either way, I’m so happy they decided to go back to an Arabic setting. There are such few games that explore it.

Yeah, 100% agreed. I’m very cautiously optimistic and excited for this. And Shohreh Aghdashloo just has such an amazing voice, so that’s a big plus.

True, I went back to play AC1 and stopped midway through because I was bored. I remember AC2 being great but now I’m worried it was nostalgia.
As much as I like the RPG style Assassin’s Creed games, they grew stale pretty quickly.
This is encouraging, but more than anything, I wish they would do a Japan setting.
