Chop Suey by System of a Down for me. If I listen real close I can almost hear my parents fighting in the other room again.
Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 8, RV 315, by Antonio Vivaldi, also known as “Summer”
Brutal Hearts by Diplo, Dove Cameron, and Johnny Blue Skies (aka Sturgill Simpson) isn’t getting as much traction as I thought when it came out, but Sturgill Simpson can do no wrong imo.
Cupid - FIFTY FIFTY
A classic summer song is Ask by The Smiths.
One of my favorites. Used to be the first thing I’d put on the radio in the car when I was younger.
I do not usually listen to David Guetta, but Titanium was everywhere the summer of 2011. I heard it in college, on the street, in the car, and at house parties. Actually, mostly house parties.
To this day I can taste cheap vodka, amaretto and jagermeister when I hear that song.
Wait… that song was in 2011?
Dang, dude. I’m getting old. I thought that track was like 3-4 years ago.
Yeah, the last decade went really quick for me. I know everyone says that but it’s true. Things that make me feel old are how GTA V made fun of hipsters and New Girl made fun of millennials. That era is gone man.
Even Bowie’s Blackstar is 7 years old and that feels like last year.

Rocket - The Smashing Pumpkins. Siamese Dream is a great summer album imo
I know he’s done some stupid stuff recently, but I always think of this: Will Smith & DJ Jazzy Jeff - Summertime
