sodiumbromley ( @sodiumbromley@lemmy.blahaj.zone ) English5•1 year agoAlexa, set a timer for ten years and call it “watch another two hour long lore explanation”
themoonisacheese ( @themoonisacheese@sh.itjust.works ) English2•1 year agoThe steam page also reveals 40€/$ base price, up to 90 for golden pro max epic preorder edition.
More expensive editions give you cosmetics and 6 months/1 year of season pass, at a rate of 2 new heists available every 6 months. I’m not sure I like this but given the alternative is the current 150€ worth of DLC for pd2 maybe it’s not that bad? Please?
It also lists “in-app purchases” on the sidebar which doesn’t bode well, but I hope overkill learned from the initial skin releases and it’ll all be just cosmetics (Which still fucking sucks but at least the playing field is level).
frost19 ( @frost19@lemmy.world ) English2•1 year agoHeists/missions are only needed for the host if they follow previous games. I personally hate dlc weapon more because of powercreep and such
Ryan ( @Ryan@programming.dev ) English1•1 year agoI have no idea what is a reasonable price for a game like this, but the price doesn’t seem too bad. But I don’t have any idea on how many maps will be in this game on release.
I’m still excited to see a much more optimized and refined Payday. And although I don’t like DLCs, I think how Payday 2 does DLCs is pretty reasonable. I just hope Payday 3 does something similar and doesn’t do a subscription/microtransaction based model.
Kaldo ( @Kaldo@beehaw.org ) English2•1 year ago$40€ seems like an appropriate cost for an AA game.
