Anyone have a suggested software for weather radars?

I’ve looked into this and haven’t really found anything that’s great, outside of using Home Assistant’s camera entity feature to pull the latest radar loop .gif from Weatherbug. A great non-foss app is Radar Omega. Some features do cost money but as a severe weather enthusiast I think it’s worth it.

Someone is developing an app called Supercell Wx. Works really well. https://github.com/dpaulat/supercell-wx

Hi @Kaiser@lemmy.world , can you please elaborate (for me as non-native English speaker) what information you’d expect from a good “Weather Radar”?
Is it about weather broadcasts for your current region? Or something like displaying lightning strikes and rain clouds for your surrounding? Has it to be integrated into a home automation? …

I assume they mean https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weather_radar
But I’m not sure what kind of software they want. USA’s National weather service lets you Download map images but I haven’t seen raw feeds or anything like that

Do you mean an application that shows your local weather? Or are you trying to DIY an S-band Doppler RADAR transceiver?
