Interesting, I wonder why this couldn’t be accomplished with conventional techniques. I own a handful of “AI” Plugins meant to achieve similar cleanup and I feel like it always needs to be tweaked to sound right. And that’s for a guy like me without practiced mixing ears. I wonder why real studio engineers needed AI.

Yeah. From what I understand, Giles Martin used the same technique (or, at least, a similar one) when making the 2022 remix of Revolver. The AI was able to make clean stems from the original tracks where the instruments were mixed. So, I would suspect that this technique was able to separate the vocal from tape hiss, room noise and other factors–it isn’t a deepfake of John Lennon.

      • That’s how Lemmy community addresses are formatted, it isn’t email. The part after the @ symbol is the specific Lemmy instance that hosts the community.

Try copying and pasting the whole address (including the “!” at the start) into the search bar on the Lemmy instance that you use and you should be able to find that Beetles community after a few seconds!

          • If you click on the 3 dots to the bottom right of the comment then select “view source” you should be able to select the text.

I’m not that phased about it getting crossposted personally, just wanted to give you a hand in figuring out how Lemmy (and Jerboa) work!

It’ll be interesting to hear. However, I really hope someone doesn’t buy the rights to the Beatles and start generating new albums when Paul and Ringo are gone. It’ll be soulless.
