I recall reading a while back that they’re planning a massive overhaul with web manifest v3 and that would enable wider add-on support.

Firefox for iOS is locked into iOS bullshit. It’s basically just a skin for safari.

I think quality assurance is harder, what with mobile operating systems arbitrarily terminating processes. But Manifest V3 should help here, I believe.

You need to create a collection and then you can use almost any extension (it’s a pain in the ass to setup)

Mozilla is so stupid sometimes… It makes it feel like they are trying to discontinue all extensions.

They don’t even work properly… Can’t log into Bitwarden because the captcha doesn’t show up

Interesting, I self-host a vaultwarden instance and the firefox add-on for bitwarden is able to talk to it just fine. I wonder if you did the captcha via the browser if the add-on would still attempt to prompt you for it

If you use Nightly or Beta you can use pretty much any addon with a few steps: https://www.ghacks.net/2022/10/20/firefox-beta-for-android-now-supports-custom-add-on-collections/
