because downvotes are used to silence people opinions or to troll
It seems to me that people from other instances can still downvote things on instances that don’t allow downvotes anyway, is that correct? It looks to me like I can downvote things on beehaw, but maybe that’s just the interface it shows me and in the background it does nothing…?
You are correct, but I think you have more chance to get downvoted from the instance you are than from another instance
