Lemmy is a community of communism and Marxism–Leninism enthusiasts, isn’t it? :D
heartlessevil ( @heartlessevil@lemmy.one ) 12•2 years agoTry lemmygrad, just don’t expect to get federated
sylverstream ( @sylverstream@lemmy.nz ) 11•2 years agoThere is content on other instances.
thegiddystitcher ( @thegiddystitcher@lemm.ee ) 7•2 years agoMy feed is mostly Star Trek and knitting, tbh.
Cowbob45 ( @Cowbob45@beehaw.org ) 3•2 years agoGive a shout-out to the knitting communities :D been trying to diversify my feed.
thegiddystitcher ( @thegiddystitcher@lemm.ee ) 2•2 years agoI’ll do you one better and copy this list of all the crafty places I’ve found so far in general:
!lemmy_stitch@sh.itjust.works (direct link) is a brand new one for cross stitch & embroidery, needs more people to join!
!crochet@lemmy.ca (direct link) is the most active crochet one I’ve found, some nice convos happening in there already.
!knitting@lemmy.world (direct link) again there’s a few but this seems most active.
For sewing there seem to be two trying to get off the ground but neither seem super active. I’ll probably just pick one at random and start posting in it if that doesn’t change but they’re !sewing@lemmy.world (direct link) and !sewing@sh.itjust.works (direct link)
!leathercraft@lemmy.ca (direct link) isn’t something I do personally but I do enjoy perving over their projects anyway.
Drinvictus ( @Drinvictus@discuss.tchncs.de ) 6•2 years agoSame thing happened on Mastodon after Twitter migration. People are talking about reddit because that’s the big news right now. Give it time. There will be more content.
patchymoose ( @patchymoose@rammy.site ) 6•2 years agoBeehaw added !socialism@beehaw.org if you want to talk about leftist topics, but the rules there are that you have to be nice to everybody. It is basically the opposite of the tenor of r/socialism, so take that under advisement.
I say this as a passive observer who has no skin in the game one way or another, I’m not a socialist.
Dr. Jenkem ( @DrJenkem@lemmy.blugatch.tube ) 3•2 years agoNo. Lemmygrade is an ML instance. Afaik, lemmy.ml is just vaguely leftist.
niktemadur ( @niktemadur@kbin.social ) 3•2 years agoPeople are going through several stages of grief at the moment. This was all so sudden and feels so unnecessary, it didn’t have to happen and it didn’t have to happen this way. This ended up being toxic on top of toxic.
4ffy ( @4ffy@lemmy.ml ) 2•2 years agoLemmygrad is a Marxism-focused instance and Hexbear is currently making the migration to mainline Lemmy right now.
Tsunami45chan ( @Tsunami45chan@lemmy.ml ) 1•2 years agoNext week will be the last time the third party apps to be available to the reddit users. So expect to have more reddit angst next week.
king_dead ( @king_dead@beehaw.org ) 1•2 years agoI’ve thrown content i find interesting on the beehaw communities. Yall gotta start posting content(no, meta posts about reddit is not content)
hejsan ( @hejsan@feddit.nl ) 1•2 years agoLook across all the communities. There’s a lot of content about reddit since many of us migrated, but theres also other content.
BobQuasit ( @BobQuasit@beehaw.org ) 1•2 years agoOnly if that’s all you look at.
CeruleanRuin ( @CeruleanRuin@lemmy.one ) 1•2 years agoJust like reddit, you gotta get off the default main pages. Go to browse.feddit.de and just start looking for communities that interest you. When you find one, tab over to [your.instance]/search and paste its URL or name (it’ll be formatted like !communityname@instance.bluh) into the search bar, click “sidebar” then “subscribe”.
After you’ve joined a number of communities, you’ll start seeing a more varied bunch of stuff.
