I’ve been hearing about them for a few years now, but until recently I had only listened to their hardcore ep. I finally gave their first full album a chance and was blown away. It’s the elusive “emo but with happy lyrics” that I’m always looking for. And, their sound is so compelling and incredibly full for a 2 piece band.

Haha, admittedly I was put off because I didn’t want to get into a “what’s real emo” discussion that sometimes comes up when Origami Angel is mentioned. But if the community here is more open minded than that, I’d be happy to participate!

This band is incredibly consistent. I love how the guitar work is so heavy because the singer basically learned guitar from a metalhead (at least I think that is the reason he gave).
