With a lot of talk around new apps in development & coming on stream, something I’ve been happy to see, & commented on, as choice is always a good thing… I thought I’d just voice my appreciation for the Jerboa team, love this App, such nice Ui & UX, I find it very easy to use, all the view options, post layouts, especially the compact view are really easy on the eyes, & great to scroll through quickly. I know there are some errors from time to time, & the odd glitch here & there, but thats something to be expected, given that Jerboa is still in its Alpha form… Thanks for all you do, each iteration makes the experience, better & better…🙌🏼

Thank you! I do have to remind people that jerboa is still very much alpha-level software… something I worked on in my off-time when not working on lemmy.
I’m super excited tho for it now, because it has a lot more skilled contributors, who actually know how to do android development.

Excellent work.

Yea! Jerboa certainly helped me leave Reddit. Well done and thanks devs!

Love to you too. You deserve it. Thank you.
- SeedyOne ( @SeedyOne@lemmy.ca ) 24•1 year ago
Jerboa alone has made the transition from Boost on Reddit to Lemmy and the fediverse incredibly easy.
- Lexam ( @Lexam@lemmy.ca ) 21•1 year ago
It’s already in the place of RIF.
- Fredselfish ( @Fredselfish@lemmy.ml ) 10•1 year ago
Same I replaced my RIF with this app and use it daily just as I used to do with RIF. When I get the funds plan on donating.
- Venutian Spring ( @Venutianxspring@lemmy.fmhy.ml ) 16•1 year ago
Yup, Jerboa has been great for using Lemmy on mobile. There are some features I miss coming from Relay, but it’s all minor things that don’t really impact the overall useability.
- Nachtara ( @Nachtara@feddit.de ) 13•1 year ago
It basically replaced the Relay for reddit app for me. Works pretty good.
- EinfachUnersetzlich ( @EinfachUnersetzlich@lemm.ee ) 12•1 year ago
What’s even better is that the pace of development on Jerboa is extremely high at the moment, there are a lot of features and fixes that are ready to go but have to wait for the next release of the Lemmy server software.
You can follow (and help) development here: https://github.com/dessalines/jerboa

Big thank you to all the hard work and the neck break development pace lately!!
- Malthur ( @Malthur@lemmy.ml ) 9•1 year ago
I agree, it looks and feels very nice and clean. Of course there’s still some small bugs, but it’ll only get better with time.
- XLRV ( @XLRV@lemmy.ml ) 8•1 year ago
Yeah, Jerboa is nice, I can’t wait to see what it will become in the future, thanks for all the devs who are working on Lemmy and Jerboa 🙏
- Anamana ( @Anamana@feddit.de ) 8•1 year ago
Good job devs, your work is appreciated!!
- MrFunnyMoustache ( @MrFunnyMoustache@lemmy.ml ) 8•1 year ago
Yup. Using it right now and looking forward to see how it grows along with the platform.
- JoKi ( @JoKi@feddit.de ) 7•1 year ago
It’s great to see what happened in the last 3 weeks. Thanks a lot to the developers.
- star_boar ( @star_boar@lemmy.ml ) 7•1 year ago
I wish there was backwards compatibility though, because I can’t use most instances (that are Lemmy 0.17.4) with the new Jerboa v0.0.35-alpha 😔
- 30021190 ( @30021190@lemmy.cloud.aboutcher.co.uk ) 2•1 year ago
Works with my instance on 0.18-rc4/5.
I’ve even posted this from Jerboa and Updated it…
There is also a test release for a Jerboa update which works well.
- star_boar ( @star_boar@lemmy.ml ) 4•1 year ago
Sorry, what I meant is that Jerboa version v0.0.35-alpha only supports instances that are 0.18+
- baconeater ( @baconeater@lemm.ee ) 3•1 year ago
Yeah I’m currently waiting for lemm.ee to update to 0.18 so I can use jerboa again to access it instead of having to use a web browser.
- shadesver ( @shadesver@kbin.social ) 6•1 year ago
not sure if I’ll stick with Lemmy or Kbin. Jerboa is big plus for Lemmy though
