Over in the vinyl sub at the Bad Place, u/Folk_nurse had been doing a Vinyl Tunes for June thing. When the blackout started, I kept adding to my own list each day, and I’d love to carry on with you all. Below is the calendar, I’ll start a thread each day.
The point is just to get us all looking at our physical collections and sharing music.
And seriously… ALL credit and thanks go to folk_nurse. I’m just not headed back there.
- Song - My Hometown
- Album - Born in the U.S.A.
- Artist - Bruce Springsteen
One of the most memorable asses of the 80s. I have albums with more impressive artwork, more memorable for me personally, but come on. It doesn’t get much more iconic than this.

Great idea.
For June 22nd, my memorable artwork album is UNKLE - Psynce Fiction.
I only own it on CD but is on my list to hunt down for my vinyl collection.
Ahhh…I remember when that album came out. Lots of hype for it.

Hot Tuna’s Yellow Fever would be one of my favorite covers in our collection. Though there are so many good ones…
Ha. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that one before. Definitely one that would stand out!
