Van Halen is my first choice. They have amazing riffs and intros, but their lyrics are misogynistic and trashy in general.
Andjhostet ( @Andjhostet@kbin.social ) 8•11 months agoMy brain doesn’t really process lyrics. Vocals are just another instrument to me.

This band GUNSHIP.
They release instrumental versions of their albums and I buy those.
I can’t stand the singing, the style of singing as well as the lyrics.
Fucking GUNSHIP, so good, but also so annoying that I only like the instrumentals.
TheBurlapBandit ( @TheBurlapBandit@beehaw.org ) English6•11 months agoThe Midnight is like gunship with good lyrics. And more sax.
Tdotshutterspy ( @Tdotshutterspy@lemm.ee ) 2•11 months agoThank you for making my afternoon

Thanks for the tip, I’ll check them out.
Storksforlegs ( @storksforlegs@beehaw.org ) 4•11 months agoPsychadaelic era rock, almost all of it. Musically great, but the lyrics are just a hippie stream of consciousness.
Even the Beatles are bad for this. I love a lot of their hippie-era songs but the lyrics…uuugh…
moonsnotreal ( @moonsnotreal@lemmy.blahaj.zone ) 3•11 months agoAC/DC. I hate the singer’s voice so much.

I mean, the lyrics are pretty fire already. I’m not complaining, I just wanted to share something cool.
