My account settings are set to Subscribed/New, but when I open the app I see Local/All and then have to change it.

Did you hit “save settings” at the bottom? I’ve forgotten to a couple of times
I have the same problem (Local/All instead of Subscribed/Hot) and yes I clicked “save settings”. it worked before I switched to Jerboa 0.0.35 while Beehaw is still on Lemmy 0.17.x. I get the version warning and the ordering resets to Local/All. The couple of times I didn’t get the version warning the ordering remained the one I had previously saved.
