It’s incredible that the human race has survived this long when apparently half the population is so wilfully ignorant of how its continuation actually works in practice.
In an industry largely dominated by females in their childbearing years it is beyond insane that they don’t have a right so basic as maternity leave. It’s a disgrace.
Not enough substitutes because nobody gets paid enough in the first place.
To me, the USA really seems more and more to be a failed state. I’m so sorry for all these teachers.
