finally captured a photo of my dog that looks just like the mom from beetlejuice. she does this every time she yawns, and it always cracks me up.

There was a nest of ducks next to the river behind my building a few years ago:
I just started a new job teaching and I overheard one of the students say to my boss that I was one of the best teachers they’d ever had. I nearly cried. It means the world to me. I feel like I’ve been a square peg in a round hole for years in my various jobs and now I’m finally doing something that fits.
Zoom meeting. Manager’s husband trying to crawl behind her out of the camera’s view. He didn’t quite make it obviously. The manager was reading something so she didn’t notice everyone trying not to bust up laughing. Never thought I’d see one of those “zoom events” in the wild, but there it was.
I randomly messaged a former colleague who I haven’t talked to in 7 years, which is not the kind of thing I normally do, and I got an excited reply a day later.
that’s great, I’m usually too socially anxious to message someone after that long so props to you for having the courage

Took a walk to the local farmer’s market on Sunday, was a beautiful day, got myself some veggies to make a delicious gazpacho that is still feeding my partner and I a couple days later. It was/is lovely!

yesterday when I was walking the dog a kid came up to us & he was so excited to see him. he asked if he could pet him & play with him & I said yeah, & he smiled so wide it looked like it made his entire day. wholesome shit :)
Honestly dogowners like you are great! I often find myself cooing over dogs and I love when the owners are happy to share in the joy.

I was walking into town the other day and saw the tiniest, cutest little sausage dog that was so happy to see everyone.

The little moth buddy I posted about was really fun. There’s been a surprising amount of interesting bugs where I’ve been working the past couple weeks, last night one of my coworkers spotted something that looked like a cross between a spider and a cricket, which I’ve yet to be able to identify.
Had a great weekend with some out of town family. Plenty of fun in the sun and water all weekend!
My preschooler has developed a love for Mario Kart and loves to play with me. Last night, I convinced my mom (who has barely touched a controller, and then only to move it for cleaning) to play with us. It was such a fun bonding moment for 3 generations of women.
Recently found out my partner likes my favorite podcast too! Now we can cuddle and listen together!
