There’s a few options for me, but I’m personally most excited for 7th Citadel after finishing all of 7th Continent over the past few years.

A runner up would be the first expansion for Ark Nova in the fall.

  • I’m really excited for the board game version of Divinity: Original Sin! I’ve been a huge fan of Divinity and Larian Studios for many years now so I have quite high expectations.

I’ve been avoiding most of the available details so I can experience it for myself when it arrives, but the process of adapting an idea across different formats is just fascinating to me in general, and it will be really fun to see how they’ve gone about reformulating for the tabletop gaming space.

  • The 7th Citadel as well, although we still have a good amount of The 7th Continent left. I’m a little worried because part of what my partner liked so much about Continent was the theme. Will she still be excited about it in a dark fantasy world? Guess we’ll see!

We’re also very looking forward to The Queen’s Dilemma. I won’t pretend that The King’s Dilemma was perfect. Still, as a place for us to come together and debate it was a remarkable and unparalleled experience. Hopefully one that The Queen’s Dilemma lives up to.

  • Nothing big on my radar at the moment but I am looking forward to rumored reprints of two smaller games:

    • Seikatsu is a neat little 2-3 player tile placement game with a shared board. I tend to like those. I wanted the original art version which is the one that is supposedly getting a new eddition.
    • Martian Dice is a very simple push-your-luck dice game, a bit like Zombie Dice which I also like. We’ve improvised our own set but I’d like to get the real deal and if the stars align maybe it will happen.

I have Daybreak coming from Kickstarter. I remember reading about it years ago and kept and eye out for more news, so when it went live for crowdfunding, I was one of the first to pledge! I love cooperative games, and I’m very interested in the balance between making a fun game and realistically incorporating the challenges of solving climate change.

  • Looks like I’m finally (FINALLY) going to get my Cthulhu Wars Daemon Sultan expansion, plus a medley of other expansions I ordered with it. Excited to break out the game again, have whole new friend groups who have yet to experience it :D

  • Oddly I’m looking forward to getting the firefly 10th anniversary stuff. I own the game but I am getting a full new set with this and some addons. We play this game a lot so having a nice shiny (wink) new set will be awesome.
