To be honest I like the idea of being able to move my account from a server which is offline to a different one. We should have it with ActivityPub too.

Before algorithms people said “I don’t get Twitter” and stayed off Twitter. Those same people now just say “I don’t get Mastodon”.
I guess the question becomes, do the developers see any value in creating an algorithm for thise who wont use what is already available?
The internet used to make you think a little. It is crazy to me that people are upset they may have to look up video game content themselves instead of just have it fed to them?
Oh I know. I love Mastodon, and follow a bunch of hashtags. I’m just saying some people get put off when they try it out for the first time and aren’t nudged along by an algorithm. I don’t think this is a failure on Mastodon’s part, as it’s one of the many reasons I really like it.
