This titular album is Bo Diddley’s first studio album, although he had been making and recording music for years beforehand. The album is considered a seminal work in the development of rock n roll.
Personal Thoughts
I enjoyed this album, the guitar playing especially. My favorite track was Bring It To Jerome, I really liked the catchy chorus and fast paced beat.
I would love to hear anyone’s thoughts about this album as well as any recommendations.
i listened to bring it to jerome (don’t have enough time for a full album listen) and like the faster pace, but can’t say i love older music in general. it’s cool to listen to something so old though- i don’t know that i’ve really ever gone back before the 80’s while exploring music!
overall it has a fun sound, and if it came on the radio i’d give it a listen, but not personally my thing. good luck with your 100 albums!
