anji ( @anji@lemmy.anji.nl ) 7•2 years agoNope… I have been hearing about tooth regrowth every couple of years for perhaps my entire life, and it still has not at all happened.
Briongloid ( @briongloid@aussie.zone ) English4•2 years agoHonestly that sounds scary
BCsven ( @BCsven@lemmy.ca ) English6•2 years agoOne spiked drink away from being Shane McGowan
NightAuthor ( @NightAuthor@beehaw.org ) English2•2 years agoHow’s it suppose to work?
Side note: am I expected to read articles on lemmy?
fluorine ( @fluorine@beehaw.org ) English6•2 years agoFrom the article:
A protein called USAG-1, synthesized by the gene, was found to limit the growth of teeth. In other words, blocking the action of that protein could allow more teeth to grow.
It would be a great community norm to encourage reading the article first, at least here on Beehaw <3
NightAuthor ( @NightAuthor@beehaw.org ) English2•2 years agoOn Reddit, my typical behavior would be to skim a few comments looking for quick explanation. If I was particularly interested, and no comment covered my questions, then I’d go to the article and fill in the relevant info into the discussion.
But it takes a decent number of decently active users to sustain such a model without reading lots of articles every day.
