Anyone here play it, or variants of it? Or a fan of roguelikes in general?

this has been my longest-lasting phone game by a significant margin. I love that it’s portrait mode so I can play a game while holding a phone the way God intended

I used to play it a fair amount. I got to the point where I had beaten at least a run with each of the characters. I stopped around when the update that added its own music came in. I should try it out again, it really is a solid game
They’ve added a new class (the Duelist), which is pretty fun to play.

Shattered is my roguelike of choice on mobile (along with Hoplite if that counts). On desktop I play DCSS and Brogue. Used to play a lot of Nethack too. Never ascended in any of them but that doesn’t make it any less fun.
I have heard good things about DCSS. I tried playing on mobile, but it was difficult.

Played it casually in spits and spurts. Never got that far, but enjoyed it. Very good game.

Yep. It’s an outstanding game in the classic roguelike style. Nice to have it available on both mobile and desktop, too.

I’ve played quite a bit. Only classes I haven’t completed with are Mage and the new Duelist. Honestly, it’s such a good game I’m amazed it’s free. It is exactly what I want in a mobile game: fast, hard to master, easy to start. My biggest complaint is that touch controls can be clumsy, but that is the nature of the device.
I have died so many times from fat fingering. Dying that way can be really frustrating.

I used to play with the original PD until it got abandoned, so I’ve been playing Shattered it since it came out and I always come back to it: it’s such a good dungeon crawler.
I love the fact that they always keep working on it, balancing mechanics and adding new stuff latest versions are impressing - 2xsaiko ( @2xsaiko@discuss.tchncs.de ) English3•1 year ago
Yes! I love it. It’s the only game I have on my phone, and perfect to jump in/out whenever.
It’s very hard to find a mobile game that isn’t riddled with ads or garbage (or both) so this one has stuck with me for years. I gladly paid the 5€ or whatever it costs on the App Store when I switched to iOS recently.
Still haven’t beaten it though lol. Closest I ever got was depth 23.
It costs money on the app store?

I really love it. I always push it when people ask for good free and/or mobile games.

I did, a bit. But got tired of dying a lot. I know it’s a rouguelike, but I died a lot. Maybe I should have looked up some tips instead of just quitting. If anyone wants to share some, that’d be great.
I’d be happy to. I’m not as good as some, but I’ve ascended with every class. What are you having trouble with?

@TheGiantKorean I played it! It was lots of fun! It’s a #roguelike that works great on tablets, too.

That game is awesome

It’s a great time waster. The dev Evan is kind enough to host older versions of the game on his Github too if you don’t like a particular feature. I personally play the edition right before hero talents were added.

I never played the shattered one, but I played vanilla a lot!
Vanilla was fun! I stopped playing when item degradation was introduced.
