groknull ( @groknull@programming.dev ) 2•8 months agoI have to second Prince’s guitar on “while my guitar gently weeps.” Phenomenal.
Also the Talking Heads’ “stop making sense” concert film is very well done:

davefischer ( @davefischer@beehaw.org ) English7•8 months agoMelt-Banana at the Knitting Factory, 2007. Melt-Banana is my favorite band in the world, and this isn’t the best audio, but it REALLY captures the feel of the live performance. (I was at this show. I’m the guy with dreads in the front row directly in front of the cameraman.)

Nath ( @Nath@aussie.zone ) 2•8 months agoJohn Farnham - Help. This guy is a household name in Australia, but almost unknown abroad. In this clip, he’s just given a Three hour, high energy concert and is called out for an encore. He performs this.
It’s a candidate for the best cover - ever.
carcus ( @carcus@lemmy.ml ) English2•8 months agoMore recently, The Dø there is something really special about this performance. This version of Hangover is much better than the recorded version in my opinion.
All of the Blogotheque videos are pretty incredible, something for almost anyone to find compelling.
brewbellyblueberry ( @brewbellyblueberry@sopuli.xyz ) 2•8 months agoOoh I really like this one and the Le Lab Virgin Radio one, especially Opposite Ways. So much better than the album versions.
