kbyanyname ( @kbyanyname@beehaw.org ) English4•2 years agoHoly cow, that looks like incredible work! How did you even build those?
We’ve been making them since the beginning of the pandemic, the pattern is based on a store-bought one we took apart, and we’ve made several iterations over the years including making wearable versions. It’s sewn from an airtight fabric (silpoly is the best we’ve worked with, but hard to sew) on a normal sewing machine, and has a continuous fan to keep it inflated
kbyanyname ( @kbyanyname@beehaw.org ) English2•2 years agoThat’s really great work! Very impressive to build that pattern based on one you took apart
aperson ( @aperson@beehaw.org ) English3•2 years agoWhenever I see inflatable dragons, all I can think of is that guy from reddit that has like 100 of them.
Ones that look like this, or something different?
aperson ( @aperson@beehaw.org ) English4•2 years agoJust like that.
Then that’s probably us! Something about “Dragon Day” on r/dragons?
aperson ( @aperson@beehaw.org ) English2•2 years agoThis ehh… was more of a fetish thing.
Ah, that was definitely not us then. Ours are just intended to make both neighbors and strangers on the internet smile!
