Just need flour, sugar, salt, eggs, milk, and butter and whatever toppings you want. You have to past more attention than pancakes as they’re thinner and the batter needs to be moved about the pan a lot more. Doesn’t take long though.

True “open source firmware” where you can inspect and modify everything on a network card is going to be rare if they exist. However, Linux has mature open source drivers that interface with the hardware for consideration and the output can be monitored at a gateway/router.
These strawman arguements aside, I think the author’s point is that the purpose of this tool is for privacy of network connections and as such deserves scrutiny.
To your point, open source does not equal secure. We still have to trust that someone more familiar and with interest has reviewed the code and humans can still err.
The author provides links to an open solution that has already existed (albeit not as polished) and explains his other solution blocking at a DNS level.
The problem with a black box network monitoring and blocking solution is we have no clue if there are rules we are unaware of or if all information is being provided in earnest. Ultimately this tool is hosted by a business selling other privacy conscious applications. I know If you’re good at what you do, don’t give it away for free.
Ultimately, everyone is free to choose their own solution but the article cautions of the hype that’s emerging around this tool when other solutions have existed that are more transparent.

What are you trying to do exactly? Add full albums to a playlist queue in a random order?

In this video, I showcase a couple ways of adding albums to a queue. From thw album menu, tapping the play arrow loads the whole album in the queue (replacing the queue). You can long tap to select then three dots add to playlist -> add to play queue. Finally from an album page, you can click add album to play queue.
I thought I figured it out, with the group select on multiple albums then the three dots, but it only adds the first album selected. Sounds like something that could be requested in a future update for multi-album adds via a group select.
Does this help? I’ve been impressed with the official app and tried a few unofficial ones, but this seems to have all the utility and features I want.
Edit: forgot to add if full in order albums isn’t what you’re after, there are other options including the app making a random Instant Mix of songs of the same genre.
I use the official jellyfin client on my phone. I hear you in that I have also wanted some randomness in selecting what to listen to.
I keep the standard Album category and use the random sort. Then I still get some agency in selection, but it’s all mixed.
Edit: Confirmed minimum is Android 5.0 or newer.
