If you request data from a server, chances are that your server needs to request that data from another server - which is ‘upstream’.

There can be multiple upstream servers involved in responding to your single request

“Are you the only one in your group who GMs?”

I am in 3 groups, in 2 of them I am GM. From these 2, in one I’m the only GM; in the other there are 3 GM’s.

A bit hard to answer questions like this on a 5 point scale.

“Rather than paying wind farms to switch off we’re trialling a new system where people who live near these constrained areas get cheaper - or even free - electricity.”

Wow. That’s such a brilliant new idea –except that across the North Sea this has been possible for several years now. A so called ‘dynamic contract’ prices electricity based on supply and demand, which changes every hour. Sometimes you pay more than the ‘flat rate’, but also sometimes you even get paid for using electricity.

Apparently covering from the sale of Bag End, through Crickhollow, the Old Forest–meeting Tom Bombadil–to the Barrow Downs.

I expect this could be an interesting movie, I have missed these parts. They are less directly connected to the story of the ring (except where the Nazgûl appear), but I think it adds to the understanding of the background events occurring at that time in Middle Earth.

I reported it within a minute after it was posted.

Of course it was.

I have a small site with no robots.txt . Google search console still shows the same number of search results as in the last few months (around 800/month)

Most of us Dutchies are more or less fluent in English (over 90% of the population), and yes, many will switch to English quickly, even if you start the conversation in Dutch but are not a native speaker.

German and Dutch are closely related, but most Dutch people are not fluent in German — speaking German here is usually limited to “hallo, wie geht’s?” and ordering meals or drinks.

The Netherlands is generally very LGBTQ positive, but exceptions exist.

Immigration depends on where you’re from and if you have a job here. Visiting as a tourist is easy if you are already living in Germany - just remember to bring your passport (often it’s not checked, but there are exceptions). We love friendly tourists!

Two weeks ago, there were 2 new Bach works released. So, you might be surprised.

Newly discovered Bach works

If your designs depend on the fact that every composition of a composer is in one pdf file, which might contain thousands of pages and will need updates every time they create something new, your designs are seriously flawed.

You roll it, it drops off the table and stops 15 yards meters away–if you’re lucky. Or the cat thinks you finally have time for them and playfully pushes the ball die under the couch.

I think my d30 is good enough.

Some great mind took hours to break this password. Hours!

Spoiler: the pony survived!
