I’ve always felt like the apps stuffed full of telemetry that have access to a lot of data on my phone are the most concerning part. It’s annoying too that the devices themselves phone home.

The fault isn’t with docker though, they don’t add your user to the docker group, it’s an optional step the user needs to take.

Do other distros default to placing your user in the docker group though? That’s the issue here.

It’s pretty decent! Huge learning curve coming from Fusion360 since it does everything so differently, but once I got the basics down I can do simple models at least.

I think a great test is grab a 5 year old budget phone with low screen resolution and slow CPU, and hand it to a few people with your app on it for a few minutes. See what they complain about or can’t figure out.

If it’s on the Google play store it’s generally not safe. I wouldn’t trust it.

I use a decent cloning tool like foxclone, dd isn’t really the right tool for that kind of thing IMO.

Since your post doesn’t say it’s self hosted or using a local model, maybe worth adding that to the top.

Yeah a HDD with another for periodic backups would be a lot more reliable.

You can also start to drag, hit alt+tab, and then drop in another window which is how I normally do it.

For 2 that’s neat to have, but how do you send the clipboard or something thats not in a file manager?

I find it really buggy, it often loses connection and won’t connect to multiple devices at once.

Also how is speech to text AI? It has existed for decades, obviously a lot better now but I don’t think I’d consider it “AI”

There’s a ton of added friction when doing things outside the basic ‘install Flatpak app’. Security generally comes at the price of being difficult to use.

For new users it also means virtually every guide or there on fixing an issue or installing extra software won’t apply.

There’s not much point in sending it to be manufactured when it would fail DRC and a quick visual inspection. Experimenting is fun but there was no point wasting the money to make it when it clearly isn’t a working PCB.

This would be great, I get frustrated with so many games running terribly with stuttering and awful 1% lows on FPS, despite my hardware meeting/passing the recommended requirements.

It would be nice to see real data on that before hand, instead of needing to buy a game and ending up refunding it an hour later.

Next thing I would check is your configured DNS servers on the desktop, it needs to have only the pihole IP, if it has any other servers configured that is likely the issue.

Also worth pinging the pihole IP next time it’s not working, to check if it’s actually a networking issue instead of a DNS issue.

I don’t think it’s a problem with PiHole realistically, it sounds more like for some reason your DNS requests are not getting to PiHole.
