• I tried disabling steam input but it appears you can’t do that for the Steamdeck controller. It says “Always enabled” next to Steamdeck controller.
• I tried binding the walk key to a back button as well, but the back buttons aren’t recognised by the game at all. Possibly another hint that the game is having issues with the Steamdeck controls.
• I did adjust the deadzone in the Steamdeck controller config. The game itself only has sliders for aiming not walking.
• That’s a good shout. I had a quick look at profiles too but didn’t see anything that might fix the issue. I will look a bit more. As a last resort I might have to make my own keyboard based input though not sure how well mouse aiming will map to the sticks. It’s just a bit annoying I have to do this at all.

Yeah, I’ve had my steam deck for years and never encountered this issue. Though the only other Sony game I’ve played on there is God of War which also worked fine. Though I’ve seen others describe the same issue for Last of Us Part 1 on the Steamdeck.

I’ve been using them for a bit over a year now and don’t have any complaints so far. If you don’t care about the office suite, their email only package is €1.50/month for 5 users, which is hard to beat. You can use your own domain too. I like that their web/android clients have a proper conversation view that also shows your replies (like Gmail does). This has been missing from other providers I’ve tried (except Fastmail). Their android app is on F-Droid and open source which is nice. There were a few odd translations, like “Transfer” instead of “Forward”, but I think they’ve fixed those since. It’s not been long enough for me to comment on reliability or missing emails, but so far so good.

I’m using Infomaniak Mail and am fairly happy so far. They are based in Switzerland and I get custom domain + 5 user accounts for 1.50 EUR/month. I’ve tried other providers but coming from Gmail I like that their webmail displays email conversation like Google does whereas most other providers just run rainloop or roundcube where threading support isn’t quite the same.

Their android app is open source too and can be installed from fdroid. It can be a bit sluggish sometimes though, but K9mail/Thunderbird works fine too.

Haven’t seen anyone mention https://overthewire.org/wargames/bandit/ yet. It’s a Linux shell game where you need to solve problems using shell commands that only requires an ssh client on your machine: you ssh into the first server, solve a problem, and the solution points you to the next server. It starts easy (e.g. read out this file using cat) but gets hard quickly. But you can always look up solutions when you’re stuck. It gives a good idea what certain commands are used for and how they can be combined in powerful ways.
