Everyday Carry. What essentials do you carry on a daily basis?@sopuli.xyz•My current EDC kit (Please give me suggestions!)English
1·3 months agoSAKs are awesome. I generally prefer standalone knifes but the SAK scissors are super useful and if the blade fits your usecase its a nice choice. Also surprisingly customisable!

1·3 months agoTake a look at the real steel Luna lite. That should check all boxes and can be found for under 30€ regularly.
I don’t own this specific knife but others from real steel and I have handled the original luna, which is more of a premium offer. My experience is that their knifes are good value for the money.

5·3 months agoThings that proved useful in my edc:
- some kind of OTC painkiller like ibuprofen or paracetamol
- a light foldable shopping bag in case you need to carry more. These can be clipped to the outside or your bag or stored in your pants pockets.
- Water. Don’t really see that as an option with this bag though.
For the knife also consider a fixed blade without handlescales. These can be more versatile and thinner than folding knifes. Check your local laws before buying anything.
Notebook wise I carry a moleskine A6 and a pilot g2 pen, its nothing fancy but works for me.
Edit: Can’t believe I forgot this: Flashlight! Probably the most used item of them all.

2·4 months agoThat blog post was an interesting read. I didn’t really like that kagi doesn’t a offer a plan without any LLM but the handling of user data seems even worse.

1·1 year agoSorry for the oversight on my part. The only other option I know of is ghostfolio, although it’s more Involved (selfhosted) and a lot of users seem to have problems with it.

Not completely FOSS since it uses the Yahoo api but might be a step in the right direction.

7·1 year agoIt is but censoring the internet in the name of copyright is almost traditional.
They publicly spoke out against delivering arms to Ukraine, parroting the Russian stance of blaming the west for for the war.

I’m in the same boat. Seems like there isn’t really anything apart from self hosted sync + keypass. If anyone knows of a service that includes online services that is not run by idiots please let me know.
