idk there are schools and a kindergarten near my home and let me tell you, those kids scream while playing. just a few days ago, I heard a super loud scream and it turns out they played soccer, someone scored and they mimicked men cheering after goals, but so much louder. it was almost satirical. my point is: ppl living near/with kids get used to random screams.

I would 100% react to “help!”, but I would also react to “fire!”, so whatever works, I guess. (Just fire would be a bit confusing at first.)

Not sure if that counts as betrayal. More like vigilantism. If the commanders abuse their soldiers, it is to be expected.

small tires have pros and cons. while it is true, they have trouble to overcome big gaps or steep obstacles, you have more torque (the radius of the wheel acts like a lever; bigger wheels give the terrain more leverage against your propulsion) and there is more room for kicked up things to not get stuck in the wheel well. also, small wheels need less material and are lighter, so have lower cost and you can carry more spares and swap more easily.

IMHO this particular article isn’t right-wing, because it’s a left-wing experiment that worked for a good while. The owner of the restaurant was serving free meals and accepted donations as he didn’t want to pay taxes that would go towards funding ICE. I think, donation based free food is a very left-wing thing. It’s unfortunate it didn’t work longer, but I think it was worth a shot and may be an inspiration for future endeavours.

I personally speculate russians are doing this to provoke other nations to deploy NATO troops to patrol the streets, so his useful idiot friend trump can send troops and then try to take them over. It would be a plan cartoonish enough for them to try. Even an attempt would cause enough chaos to be satisfactory for putin without him investing much.

update: many hosters did. some even temporarily took down sites when the details and patches were out, until they had the systems patched, so they wouldn’t be attacked while still in the process of updating

yeah, bots are rarely from one location. they are modular and use components from pre-existant infrastructure, like hacked routers or phones of unsuspecting victims, DNS, darknet and regular website hosting as control network or payload hosting. destroying a datacenter can affect parts of that and sever the connection between the controller and the end points, but both sides will usually try to reconnect.

if glorious Ukraine will keep hitting them tho, their attempts to reconnect will be futile and the russian invaders may be left without any internet connection at all.
