I might be in the minority, but I generally prefer to wait and avoid early access, beta, etc. Whenever I participate, I get burned out before the final game releases, so I don’t get to enjoy the complete artistic vision.

    • It depends on the game really. Some are really cool to see the transformation, it becomes like playing two completely different games.

Other times… yeah it just kind of shows all the flaws at the forefront and then leaves you feeling confused when 1.0 drops and very little has changed lol.

    • I had that issue with Hades 1. I’ve been following supergiant for a long time now so I bought in early access when it was only the first two areas. I got burnt out and tired of waiting and ended up ditching the game for like a year before coming back, after all my friends were playing it and telling everyone to play it when it fully released lol

    • I remember being so insanely jazzed and proud that I got into the closed beta for SWTOR like VERY early. Wasn’t so fun when the game launched and I was already burnt out on it. lol

To be fair, they didn’t address a lot of the main criticisms from beta so the game predictably sunk into “Free to play” hell not too long after. Shame, it had a lot of potential.

Point is, I specifically did not sign up for this beta for the same reason as you. I think this one is worth waiting for.
