• Yeah, Microsoft is getting so frustrating by being so pushy about stuff. How many times do I need to say that I do not want a windows account?

It is like once a week that it asks me this upon login, which wouldn’t be too bad on its own, but when it asks, it literally takes 30 seconds to a minute to display the message. Most times login happens immediately.

I will likely be getting rid of my lenovo l14 second gen thinkpad next month and picking up either an m1 or m2 air. Sadly, they did not lower the price of the m2 air in the country where I live.

Yeah. I used to work at an Applecentre here in Australia 20 years ago, and I hated the attitude.

I literally got in a argument with a national sales manager when I got Windows running on a Mac shortly before Bootcamp was released, and told him it was a great transition technology. A week later, he repeated all my arguments after Bootcamp was released… Never apologised for treating me like an idiot. Combined with lots of other things (like bs marketing, crappy GPU’s etc), I lost respect for the next 20 years

I also attended a developer conference 15 years ago too, and its a completely different attitude there. The Sales people are jerkoff’s, but the developers were honest and upfront about limitations and other issues.

All Microsoft had to do was act normal… I had an Xbox X, series S, and Windows 11. They had all the software.

But, nope… They have to be like that one-night-stand who has been rejected that reserves a drawer for themself in your bedroom. IF they kept it casual, then maybe they would have stood a chance

      • I had a similar thing happen when working at one of the store.

I told a manager about an idea to improve the flow of customers at the Genius Bar.

They shot it down. A few months later it got implemented company wide and they got the credit.
